Essentially, all of the JC gems appear to have been buffed on the PTR; if it was once worth +67 of your favourite statistic, it's now worth +77. This is true across every Chimaera's Eye, even the stamina one (which few warriors are using) has gotten a 10 point buff.
I can't check the other professions at the moment, as your copied characters only get enchanting and jewelcrafting (ring enchants are unchanged) - but I'd imagine this is something of a re-balance to avoid blacksmithing being the profession of choice once epic gems hit servers.
Did I miss an announcement on this?
It's more like JC was going to be the worse raiding profession (since if the gems provide 50 stats instead of 40, the bonus was only 17x3=51). This way all professions except BS remains at +80. They said they didn't mind BS being +20 than the others, so they may leave it that way. So JC will be best until you have full epic gems, and then will be one profession more. At that point, BS will be the best. At least for the moment, BS+JW will be the best.

So it looks like they have the intention for the moment to leave Blacksmith as +100, JW as +81, the other at +80. I was already BS+JW, so yay :p
