For that, I apologise. Basically, I've started a new training course over the past month and that's literally killed the amount of available blogging time I have. Additionally, I have to admit that I've found it a struggle to write about Mists of Pandaria at the moment because, despite a lot of things having been done well, it's hard not to be disillusioned with what's happened to Zellviren.
I don't really know what Blizzard have replaced my half-decade warrior with, but this toon just doesn't feel "mine". I don't feel like I'm playing a warrior, I feel like it's just some bizarre automaton, like Svengali, that gets me around the game world.
As soon as I formulate exactly what's bothering me about this, I'll let you know.
Meantime, maybe one of my other authors can inspire!

I think I know the feeling Zellviren. My warrior, has been my "main" since pre-vanilla beta. I've tanked anything and everything I could swing a shield at. For whatever reason(s), so far, I can't get excited about tanking. I find that I am frustrated with the various gearing theories; hit/exp, mastery, stam, etc. I know Blizzard wanted to get away from cookie-cutter playing, but I would sure appreciate a little consistency in warrior class opinion. Good luck figuring things out for your toon. I know I'm still trying to decide on mine.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I find the gearing a little tiring at the moment because I'm happy justifying my choices to myself, but trolls be trolls. That said, I have enjoyed playing around with my gearing to test raiding results.
ReplyDeleteThe bigger snag, in some ways, is that warriors don't have a decent spec at all. Tanking is more boring than it's ever been, Arms is wrecked and Fury is still riddled with inconsistency.
We'll see how it shakes out.
